"Wrote" His Name Down in History

Voice 1 (from a golfer's perspective):
Rory McIlroy wrote his name down in golf history after he came back to win the 2011 U.S. Open after  a devastating final round at the 2011 Masters. He dominated the U.S. Open field and eventually won by an incredible 10 shots on Sunday. He became the second youngest player to win a U.S. Open behind Tiger Woods. Rory will continue to become a better golfer and probably beat Tiger's record of wins and majors.

Voice 2 (from a non-sports fan):
This kid named Rory, what a funny name, apparently hit his ball the least amount of times last week and won a tournament. People are acting like it is a big deal. I just don't understand it. You hit a little white ball around for four days and then people cheer and talk about you for a long time. I guess i have to say congradualtions to him, but I don't know why.

  1. I like this idea of writing a name in history through an action that is not technically writing (like golf). It is really a kind of writing in this way.
